He was already friends with band’s bassist Will Farquarson before the formation of the band.

Kyle joined the band in 2010 along with the other 3 band members.

In an interview, he stated that he and the other band members did not think Pompeii would be such a success and become their breakout song.

He was born and brought up in London and as a child, he used to go to O2 Arena a lot for basketball shows, comedy, and music shows.

He stated that as a child, he never imagined that he would get to perform at the O2 Arena in his hometown someday and so performing there was really close to his heart.
